What is the review, and how does it work?
Games built with MapleStory Universe (MSU) resources go through a review before they're made public on Verse8. When you launch a game you've created in a Public or Unlisted state, MSU games automatically enter the review queue, and a game must pass review before it appears on Verse8 for anyone to play. Reviews are based on the Verse8 and MSU Terms of Service and operating policies, and we may ask you to make changes if needed. Once you've made the changes and launch again, the game re-enters review. You can check your review result and status under My Works on this page.
Can I update my game after submitting for review?
Yes — you can keep updating your game after submitting it for review. If you update after the review result is out, the game goes through review again. If you update before the result is out, reviewers only review the latest version.
How do I receive the credits I need to build?
Once you connect your MSU Builder account, you get 500 free credits every week as MSU Free Weekly Credits. Whenever your balance drops below a set amount while building, it tops up automatically in blocks of 10 credits ($10), up to 50 top-ups a week. Credits reset every Monday at 06:00 UTC and unused credits don't roll over. If you use up this week's credits, you can buy more in the Credit section on this page and keep building.
Can't I use premium models to build my game?
Models like Auto, Gemini, and Deepseek are more than capable of building a good game. Avoid overly complex requests at once, and give clear instructions. If you still want to use a premium model, apply through this form. Once approved, you'll be granted access to premium models.
